After the Stripy rock at Castle Beach image, here are more stripes but this time they are definitely edible!
There are many patterns and colours to interest a photographer in a vegetable garden but perhaps the sunlight pouring through the bright orange and red stalk of chard is a dramatic highlight. The colour shines from amongst the large, dark, green leaves with such warmth and vibrancy it screams out to be photographed.
Cropping the image (if not the vegetable) so the subject is the coloured stem offset with the dark shadow of the leaves and you have a design particularly well suited to be a splashback or a piece of wall art in a kitchen. Bon appetit!
