Harbour squiggles

There are usually many attractive shapes and colours to see when you wander around a harbour (the line of the hull, the sun catching the brass fixtures) as well as sounds that give a real sense of place (the jangle of the rigging, the slop of the water).

I like the simplicity of this image with all the fine lines of the masts and rigging creating wonderful swirls and squiggles in the water of Falmouth harbour. On this occasion it was a dull day and to avoid there being only shades of grey (50 or otherwise) I tweaked the hue to give the image some life and vibrancy.

The original image is shown for comparison.
